Jaron delivers mind+health mind, body, health solutions and fitness seminars/presentations that can explain the psychological aspects of making lifestyle changes, and improving physical and mental performance. Previous seminars/presentations have been a regular feature at Migym, Nelson and also with local organisations.

Below is a series of subjects that your business/organisation/group may be interested in, or Jaron can create one that is more suited to your needs.

Making Lifestyle Changes

This lifestyle change presentation is for any person who struggles to make permanent dietary and exercise changes they need to make to live a healthy lifestyle. Most people know what they need to do to live healthier, but struggle to make these changes a permanent part of their lifestyle. Others try every new health trend in the hope of finding a solution to their health and fitness needs but have yet to find one that sticks. This presentation is the start to finding what works for you as an individual.

We discuss possible historic, mental, or emotional barriers that can cause an individual to fall back into existing unhealthy, or dysfunctional habits. Also covered is how our core beliefs have a strong influence on our behaviours and habits. Case study examples are used to illustrate this effect.

Finally, we cover strategies for recognising your core beliefs and overcoming barriers that you recognise for yourself. Each person will leave with a number of handouts to help them through the process. This is not a process of giving health solutions to perceived problems, but one of gaining insights into your own needs as an individual.

Parenting High-Achieving Teens

In schools, there is help available for those who are struggling academically, emotionally, or socially. Due to limited time and resources, little is done to support those who excel academically, artistically, or athletically. High achievers can be driven by personal unrelenting high standards and expectations, and can be at risk of suffering with issues of depression and anxiety. In this presentation, explore ways to support the high achieving young people in your life, without adding more pressure to perform.

This session will introduce you to these thinking mistakes so that you have an increased awareness. Self-Talk

Self-talk is a way of describing the internal dialogue that commentates our lives for us. Negative self-talk can be a major barrier for making lifestyle changes. Unfortunately, many of us don’t recognise our negative self-talk, and if we do, we don’t know how to make it positive. Research has shown that positive self-talk improves outcomes for individuals in many aspects of life. In this session, learn how to recognise your negative self-talk and how to challenge the negativity to become more positive.
